Zane nodded, agreeing with Sosa. "All right. We don't have much of a choice anyway," he said and helped the man out the window. Except, it was a stupid predicament but still a problem. He wouldn't fit the window.

"...great."

Sosa kicked the wall angrily. He was incredibly bored with the matter and would just as soon be on the other side of town. He leaned out the window to inform the mother that they would be coming out another way, but found, to his surprise, that she and the children are gone.

"What in the world," he muttered as he turned back to Zane and the man.

"Seriously?" Zane raised an eyebrow. "They left the father?" he blinked. "Unless..."

Suddenly, the man lunged at Sosa and Zane just happened to be holding the rope so he pulled hard on it just in time before the man bit Sosa.

"Woah woah woah!" Sosa shouted, backing away from the man as best he could, which was not far with the window behind him. He dodged to the side as the man lunged at him again. He drew one of his guns, pointing it at the man, hoping it would stop him. He was shocked to see that the man kept on coming. He lashed out with the gun, hitting the man in the side of the head with the handle.

Zane's eyes widened, shocked at the peculiar way the man was acting. And why the hell was he trying to bite at Sosa anyway? It was more than weird. Had his injury caused him to be this strange or what? He couldn't be sure.

After Sosa hitting the man and awkward silence, Zane was about to speak up only for the man to try a lunge at Sosa again. But this time, blaming it on the reflex, he threw a sharpened knife at the man's back, not wanting to kill him.

But he didn't seemed faze at all.

"Where the heck did he get a knife?" Sosa thought in a brief moment of clear thought. He quickly overcame logic and let his battle instincts kick in. He was no good at hand-to-hand combat, but even at close rang his gun skills were still useful.

"This was all a trap and this man works for the ene--" He had aimed his gun at the man as he reached for him, but stopped, noticing something. He dropped to the floor, causing the man to trip over him instead of grabbing him. Sosa activated his geass, spreading his range as far as he could, then nodded.

"Geass!" he shouted, pointing out the window, hoping Zane would take the hint.

He was watching the events, rather swiftly, and at his shout turned his attention to the window. He had a gun hidden somewhere and took it out. [yeah, i wasn't sure where, don't ask] And barely missing a bullet aimed at him.

It was a good chance, he thought and he shot his gun towards the man outside, who was freaking floating. "What the hell?" he shot some more, but it seemed that the bullets were just passing through him.

Sosa tried hard to avoid harming the man more than he was already hurt. If they could just break the geass he suspected he was under, the man would then have to deal with his injuries. He looked at Zane to see how he was doing, only to find that he was firing at a man floating outside the window. He blinked rapidly, trying to see clearly, and nearly got run over by the crazed father.

"Look for something more corporeal?" Sosa suggested out of frustration. He was pressed against the wall, holding the father off with a foot to his chest.

"As far as I'm concerned the only corporeal here are us three, that damn this is like a ghost, I swear," he said and tried to throw a fork at him.

For some reason it hit him. "No kidding?" he muttered to himself. "That's... freaky," he shook his head but threw another silverware at the floating man who was hit again and its desperation, flew towards them, passing through the wall and facing them, still afloat.

The man on Sosa was still trying his best to bite at him.

"This! Is! Getting! Stupid!" Sosa shouted, finally kicking the man away from him. He grabbed a spoon from Zane's stash and chucked it at the ghost-man. He was tempted to just kick it, but even if he hit it somehow, it would hardly do any good.

He paused. "Oh, wow, he's kinda creepy looking."

Zane was tempted to laugh if not for the really weird situation they were in. "I'll say. I'm rather confused," he said as he paid no heed to Sosa stealing a spoon. He didn't know he brought a spoon actually.

But why was he even worrying about that? He looked at the ghost-man who wasn't really doing anything except act like a ghost and he had to agree. He looked creepy, cloak and all.

What freaked him out the most was when the man barked.

"I give up," Sosa groaned. "It's a haunted house. That's on fire. We're going to die because an insane mans mauls us to death with his teeth or because the fire roasts us. It's a contest, now, to see which will kill us first. But wait, there's a third option! A ghost can scare us to death, too!"

He kicked at the man, who was growling and barking lowly. He seemed to almost be on a leash, held back by something. "The ghost probably..."

And because the situation was too weird to grasp, Zane laughed. "This is stupid as it is amusing," he said. But when Sosa said the word fire, blazes of flame engulf the room making Zane step back. "Tch," he didn't see that coming.

The man whimpered like a dog, and it really freaked him out. The ghost-man's eyes then suddenly turned to geass. "Crap," he said looking away; just in case the geass worked that way.

Sosa averted his eyes, though he kept watch on the ghost. There was a brief moment when nothing happened, then the ghost-man made a motion with his hand. The dog-man ceased whimpering and pounced on Zane.

"Zane!" Sosa shouted, pouncing on the dog-man.

"What the," he thought, glad Sosa gave a thumb's up for him and kicked the man on the head from the top, swiftly making the dog-man hit his head on the floor, it breaking and the thing falling. He wasn't really up for animal abuse but... he wasn't really sure what it was anymore. "Thanks," he finally said, irritated at the ghost-thing that still didn't do anything since the last attack.

"Against supernatural things, beings, whatever they are... I'm unsure if my geass works on them," he thought. And I only have so much silverware with me.

Sosa sat on the ground, letting his legs collapse and landing hard. He put his hands on his knees and stared hard at the ghost-man's knees. "What did we ever do to deserve this? We wanted to help and we wind up in an oven with a psycho ghost who doesn't like silverware. Maybe if you stabbed him in the ghost-face with a knife."

Zane contemplated on what Sosa said. "Let's try then," he said and threw a dinner knife at the face of the ghost-man... and did not dodge. At the moment, the flames died, the ghost-man disappeared and the building... suddenly collapsed.

Sosa was surprised as he watched the building fall around him. Everything seemed to fall in slow motion. It was made even more interesting when he noted that everything was a charred black colors, obviously burned by a fire, though the fire was nowhere to be found. It was almost dreamlike...

Until he landed, half the house landing on and around him. "Bullcrap," he muttered.

As they fell, he tried to hold on to something. But since everything were burned, they weren't anything sturdy to hold on and he fell out of balance. Zane was actually able to land properly. Only pieces of debris and charred wood hit his back, making him fall over. "Ah, crap."

He looked around, all rubbles and black. "Sosa?"

"Here," Sosa croaked, crawling his way out from beneath some pieces of roofing. He coughed and gasped when his head reached fresh air. "Clean, sweet air. My lungs freaking hurt," he groaned, flopping onto his back and staring at the pale blue sky.

"What the heck just happened?"

Zane stood up and brushed himself, after getting away from all the rubbles. He was irritated that his shirt was now blackened due to all the soot and stuff.

But he really had to agree. This was better than being locked up in a room of fire and smoke. He looked at Sosa and really couldn't blame him for his actions. "I'm not really sure," he answered after a while.

He blinked when something white crawled around the debris towards Sosa, latching itself on his leg and onto his back. All this time, he just watched, rather unsure of what he was seeing.

Sosa stared at the sky, unwilling to take his eyes off it for fear of losing his place in the world. He felt slight pressure on his leg and back--which was just annoying since he was lying on his back--but refused to look.

"Zane, if it tries to eat my brain or any other important parts, please stop it," he muttered.

Zane was rather too confused to reply and watched as the white thing, now he was sure had legs and arms, so probably a face too, was going up Sosa and up his front... towards his face.

It looked at Sosa and stared at it, its beard covering half of Sosa's face. And he still didn't really know what to say about that.

As soon as the hair touched his face he gave up on ignoring the creature. He flung it off of him--it was surprisingly light--and rolled to his feet, all the while shuddering and muttering "ew" under his breath.

"What what what?!" he shouted, grabbing his side and clinging to Zane at the same time. "They always warned me not to do drugs... Maybe they would have saved me from this."

Zane tried shrugging him off but the second wave of shock got to him. The thing with the beard walked towards them and Zane had to back off, stepping back on the rubble.

"..." he really stopped trying to talk, obviously unable to anymore. The thing had big feet for its size and it was really all in white. It looked at them before it smiled. This prompted the thought that maybe he could offer Sosa to him and it'll leave him alone?
