White Villa~

He clenched his teeth at frustration. He didn't need any other guests until he found both Alessia and Anisette. When did it ever got so mysterious in this place?

He doubted he was going to reply but he supposed better than nothing. "Who are you?"

She handed it to Lady Alessia. "If so, I have no idea how to use it, to be honest. There has been these peculiar shadow men. They're like ghosts. Quite frightening!"

She took the brooch, warily, from Anisette, expecting something dramatic to happen. As it touched her hand...nothing. It was warm from the Lady's grasp, but other than that Alessia didn't notice anything special from it.

"Shadow men??" she asked, still fingering the pendant.

No replies. He figured it wouldn't. But he didn't anticipate to disappear in thin air, dissolving and dispersing into wisps of black fading to nothing.

Still unsure of what had happened, he moved forward to the pedestal and looked around it. Whatever it was made him wary but he had other priorities at that moment.

There was nothing that left a clue though.

She looked up, as though the answer's there and tilted her head, wondering how to explain it.

"Rather shadowy, donning a black overall coat with a hood," she blinked and looked at Alessia. "I suppose the shadow men resembled a death god, except he had no scythe."

As an afterthought, she added "Oh, and he was floating!"

"...Floating gods of death, huh??" Alessia mumbled under her breath.

Suddenly the brooch got warm in her hand. Expecting the worst, she threw it down on the pedestal, and it bounced off then skittered across the floor a few inches. When nothing immediately happened, she felt rather foolish, but reminded herself she was better safe than ambushed or burned. "It started to heat," she told Lady Anisette with a shrug.

He had already paced the room thrice before stopping in front of the pedestal and seeing a depressed area with the outline of a jewelry of some sort.

Other than that, it has become unbelievably quiet and there was just nothing. He didn't even want the option of just waiting.

"That's what it seemed to me," Anisette said. "At the time it showed up and scared my nerves!"

Alessia walked over to the discarded pendant and stared down at it. It seemed so harmless, sitting there on the floor. It had platinum framework around a rather large, flawless ruby. Something she assumed was expensive. Tentatively, she reached down to touch it...
