UFN Headquarters

This is the current Headquarters of the Federation. A loaded base that is quite heavily guarded.

Rose shut her pack off and front flipped onto the dock. "There," she said after a moment and pointed to the massive military complex ahead of them.

Sosa adjusted the bands of grenades he wore beneath his jacket. A quick check found his guns to be in place as well. "After you, mademoiselle," he said, bowing grandly.

Rose smirked. She knew Sosa was being lazy but stepped forward anyway. She pulled out her guns and charged for the wall surrounding the military compound. She ran up the wall and flipped over it and slid up against the wall of the nearest building.

She raced up the building and into a door on a second story balcony. She opened it and slipped inside and signaled for Sosa.

Sosa groaned and followed, using nearly the same moves as the woman, albeit much less gracefully. he joined up with Rose and looked around the room. It appeared to be a hanger for the Federation's Knightmares. "If we steal the one we're looking for, we can destroy this place easily," he said, creeping toward the railing that surrounded the walkway they stood on.

"I don't see it here," he groaned.

Behind you

Rose used her telepathy to warn Sosa of the Knightmare with twin swords and cannons that was moving silently for an attack on him.

Sosa spun around and saw the oncoming Knightmare. He quickly pulled a gun out from its holster on his back. He aimed it at the cockpit of the Knightmare and fired. A slight whistling could be heard as the bullet flew through the air. A dull thunk sounded as it struck metal.

The Knightmare stopped suddenly and did not move.

"New type of gun," he explained to Rose via the telepathic link they had due to her Geass. "It can pierce through the front of a Knightmare and kill the pilot."

"Amazing," Rose said out loud. She pulled out her bombs and smiled. "May I?"

"Ah, there's a smile," Sosa exclaimed, winking. "Be my guest. Just make sure we find my new Knightmare before we blow up the rest of this place."

Rose planted the bombs and backed away. Her heart pounded and she could barely contain herself as she pressed the trigger.

Alarms rang throughout the base after the explosion rocked the hangar.

"Oops," Rose said. "Maybe I should of waited."

Sosa shrugged, hardly surprised by this. "Let's keep going," he said, grabbing her arm and dragging her along. "We still have more stuff to blow up before our mission is over and we can take a nap."

Rose followed after Sosa and pulled her arm back. She pulled out her twin guns and began firing at cameras around the hangar.

"Where?" Rose asked Sosa as the two burst through a door and back outside.

"You're wasting ammunition," Sosa said without looking at her, then pointed. "That building over there is going to have the office-like things. Papers and officials," he paused, then added. "Surveillance."

Rose frowned at the fact she was being scolded by Sosa. "Hmph," she said and pointed over to a large building. "There?" she asked.

"That's what I said, isn't it?" Sosa asked. "Feel free to head over and blow the sucker up, Abunai. I'm gonna go to that one over there" - he pointed at another building - "and see if I can't find the Knightmare. Before I blow up the building." Without waiting for a response, Sosa turned and ran toward the other building.

Rose returned as fireballs shook the sky. "Back," Rose said to Sosa as he entered a building.

Sosa stopped mid-run and turned around. "What the heck is that supposed to-- Oh."

"Building secured," Rose saluted. "Knightmare?"

"I just got here," Sosa sighed, distressed. "Just, I dunno, wait here until I look in here for the Knightmare?"

He held his hands out in front of him, hoping that if his words did not communicate his order, his actions would. He then turned and raced inside the building. Once inside, he looked around. It appeared to be empty at first glance, but he heard a strange humming sound coming from somewhere in its depths.

He raced down several halls, finding nothing at first. He was about to give up and just destroy the building when he passed a large window.

"There you are," he smirked, face pressed against the glass.

Rose looked around outside. Sirens were going off and guards were coming within distance. Though Rose had hid herself against the wall she would occasionally shoot a man dead with her silenced weapon. "Mm," Rose frowned as she waited on her partner.

She had just about given up on any fun when she saw several Knightmares rush into view. She pulled out her sniper rifle and nodded as she took the first one in scope.

To Sosa she warned him telepathically. "Trouble"

Sosa frowned, seeing no doors leading to the Knightmare on the other side of the glass. He sighed in dismay and stretched. "Too much work," he complained, pulling out one of his guns. He struck out with it, smashing the window.

Sirens promptly rang out, but Sosa ignored them. He braced himself on the edge of the shattered window then leaped into the air toward the Knightmare. With a quick jerk of a cord, he opened the wings of his glider-pack and flew to the back of the Knightmare.

"Trouble," he heard in his mind.

Bullets whizzed through the air around him, making him laugh at the irony of Rose's statement. He twisted in the air, dodging the bullets and landing in the open cockpit of the Knightmare. He slid into the seat and began hitting buttons. The cockpit closed and the Knightmare came to life.

His Knightmare pulled out its guns, shooting down the enemies in the room. He lowered the wheels and raced through the tunnel that he assumed led outside. He saw blue sky at the other end of the tunnel. He flew out, the exit level with the ground. He spun around and fired one of his weapons back into the tunnel. It was silent a moment, then the entire building exploded, flames racing toward him.

"Mission accomplished. Get somewhere I can get you and let's get outta here!"

Rose heard Sosa speak to her as she finished sniping off the last of the Knightmares that had come into the court. She dashed into the center of the court and announced her location. She waited so that she could hop onto the Knightmare Sosa had stolen and snipe from a height advantage.
"Courtyard," Rose answered.

"Oh my, you stayed put," Sosa said, smiling. He raced along the ground toward Rose. He spotted her shortly, collapsed Knightmares littering the ground. Several were still operating and took aim at Sosa. He easily shot them down with his guns. He slowed slightly as he neared his partner, robotic hand extended.

"Either jump on or be grabbed, it's up to you."

Rose didn't need to be told as she hopped onto into the arm of the Knightmare. From her elevated position she quickly was able to see clusters of knightmares coming in all directions. She took out two grenades from her pockets and launched them at the attacking forces.

Sosa examined the cockpit quickly. Most of the controls he was familiar with; most Knightmares were created so emergency pilot replacements could be made, so they were mostly the same from Knightmare to Knightmare. "Good, good," he said, then raced toward the pier they had landed on originally.

"Hang on tight!" he shouted to Rose as he crashed through the wall surrounding the compound. He spun around once more and fired one last shot into the center of the buildings. He faced forward once more as the edge of the docks neared, flipped a few switches, and the Knightmare roared into the sky, leaving behind a land of flames.

Rose held onto the Knightmare and groaned a little. She didn't like having such little control of her situation or being carried by the riders. But nothing could be done about it. "Mission Accomplished," Rose told Sosa telepathically.
